The BABA Council’s stance on Coronavirus and Covid-19
The BABA Council have been deliberating our response to the ever changing situation surrounding Coronavirus and Covid-19. We urge all BABA members to take Official NHS advice: self isolate were necessary, stay safe, wash your hands and avoid touching your face, especially without clean hands.
Information can be found in the following places and is being updated regularly:
NHS - Official NHS guidelines
HPS - NHS Scotland
PHW - NHS Wales
GOV.UK -Official Government Advice
Money Advice Service - General Advice on what help is available
Money Saving Expert - Advice from Martin Lewis deciphering what help is available in specific cases – including self-employed help
We have taken the decision to advise BABA Members to avoid attending Forge-ins or meet ups, and for those planning on hosting a Forge-in to cancel or postpone. We have found this to be a frustrating but prudent decision to make, as events form the life blood of our Association, but put us most at risk.
