This event will run over a week from Monday 16th - Saturday 21st August 2021.
We have an exciting line-up of 12 very varied speakers coming to your screen from around the globe including smiths from Canada, Chile, South Africa, Tasmania, UK, and USA. Please see below for the full event Programme.

The event will run over a week from Monday 16th - Saturday 21st August 2021. with one speaker each evening from 7.30 - 9.30pm BST. Saturday is a full day with 4 speakers followed by a pub style evening with a rendition of “Talking Blacksmith Blues” by Alan Dawson, break out rooms for chatting and live music from The Cohorts playing Irish traditional and British folk music.

Booking for Digital Event 2021 Connected by Fire will be via the BABA Website. Once the booking page goes live we will send out a MailChimp email, to all members, with the programme and a link to the booking page. Once you have booked, the Zoom links for the event will be emailed to you shortly before the event takes place.

The cost to attend this weeklong event showcasing 12 international smiths has been kept to a minimum.

Connected By Fire: 3 Bar Challenge will run as a virtual forge-in to compliment the digital event.
Not quite meeting up with fellow smiths and working together at the fire, but it does give us all the opportunity to play and create something expressive interpreting the theme “Connected By Fire” then sharing what we have created with other smiths, thus making connections.
